Payment Protection Plans

NW Plus CU offers 2 different protection plans designed to help you in the case of a breakdown or if your vehicle is stolen or totaled. Call your local branch for more information on any of these protection plans.

Mechanical Breakdown Coverage- Protects you in the event of a breakdown with your vehicle.
GAP Protection- Helps assure loan payoff in the event that the vehicle is totaled or stolen. Typically, when a vehicle is stolen or considered a total loss, your insurance will pay only the actual cash value of the vehicle. This can be lower than the loan balance particularly during the early years of the loan. As a result, after youir insurance payment is credited against the loan balance, there is still a deficency balance. GAProtection is designed to fill that "gap" by paying off the defiencey balance.
