With Zelle®, you can quickly send, request, and receive money directly from your bank account.
  1. Enroll or log in to the NW Plus CU Mobile App or Online Banking
  2. Select “Send Money With Zelle®"
  3. Accept Terms and Conditions
  4. Enter your email address or U.S. mobile number.
  5. Choose the bank account you want to use.
  6. Enter the verification code you receive.
That’s it! You’re ready to start sending and receiving money with Zelle®.
 
If Someone Sends You Money and You’re Not Enrolled:
  1. Click the link in the payment notification.
  2. Select your bank.
  3. Follow the steps to enroll using your email or mobile number.

Send Money
  1. Select “Send
  2. Add a trusted recipient’s email address or mobile number
  3. Enter the amount and (optional) note
  4. Review the details and tap “Send
Money is typically available within minutes if the recipient is already enrolled.
 
Request Money
  1. Select “Request
  2. Enter the recipient’s email, mobile number, or Zelle® tag
  3. Confirm the details and tap “Request

Receive Money

  • Share your enrolled email address or mobile number with the sender.
  • Once they send the money, it will be deposited into your account within minutes.

Keeping your money and information secure is a top priority for NW Plus CU. When you use Zelle® within our mobile app or online banking, your information is protected with the same technology we use to keep your bank account secure.
  • Only use Zelle® to send money to friends, family and other people you trust.
  • Make sure your recipient’s name, U.S. mobile phone number and email address are correct before sending money.
  • If a payment situation feels off, it probably is. Trust your gut! Learn more about common scams and what to look for in our Security Center.

How Do I Receive Money Sent to Me With Zelle®?

If you have already enrolled with Zelle®, you do not need to take any further action. The money will be sent directly into your bank account and will be available typically within minutes.

If you have not yet enrolled with Zelle®, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the link provided in the payment notification you received via email or text message.
  2. Select "NW Plus CU".
  3. Follow the instructions provided on the page to enroll and receive your payment.

Pay attention to the email address or U.S. mobile number where you received the payment notification – you should enroll with Zelle® using that email address or U.S. mobile number where you received the notification to ensure you receive your money.

Who Can I Send Money to With Zelle®?

Zelle® is ideal for sending money to friends, family, and trusted individuals like your trainer, babysitter, or neighbor.

Since funds transfer instantly between bank accounts, use Zelle® only for trusted contacts.

Do not use it for unfamiliar or unverified transactions, such as online auctions, as these pose high risks similar to sending cash to someone you don’t know.

Can I Reverse or Cancel a Zelle® Payment?

No, Zelle® payments cannot be reversed. 

You can only cancel a payment if the recipient hasn't enrolled with Zelle® yet. To check if the payment is pending, go to your activity page, select the payment, and choose “Cancel This Payment” If that option isn't available, contact our customer support at 425 297 1000 for help.

If the recipient is already enrolled with Zelle® through their bank or credit union, the money goes directly to their account and cannot be canceled. Always send money only to trusted people and double-check that you've used the correct email or U.S. mobile number.

If you sent money to the wrong person, contact our customer support at 425 297 1000 immediately to explore your options.

Are There Any Fees to Send Money Using Zelle®?

No, NW Plus CU does not charge any fees to use Zelle®. Your mobile carrier’s messaging and data rates may apply. 

How Do I Use a Zelle® QR Code?

Zelle® QR codes let you send and receive money without entering an email address or U.S. mobile number.

To find your Zelle® QR code:

  1. Log in to the official NW Plus CU mobile banking app.
  2. Tap “Send Money With Zelle®.”
  3. Go to “Zelle® Settings.”
  4. Tap “Zelle® QR Code.”

Your QR code will appear under “My Code”. You can share it by text or email, or print it. To receive money, simply share your QR code with the sender.

To send money using a QR code:

  1. Log in to the official NW Plus CU mobile banking app.
  2. Tap “Send Money With Zelle®.”
  3. Tap “Send.”
  4. Tap the QR code icon on the “Select Recipient” screen.
  5. Allow camera access and scan the recipient’s QR code.
  6. Enter the amount and tap “Send.”
Before sending money to someone new, always confirm the recipient’s name on the screen to make sure you’re sending money to the right person.

How Do I Use Zelle? 

You can send, request or receive money with Zelle®

  • To get started, log in to your online or mobile banking app, navigate to "Send Money with Zelle®," accept terms, provide your email or U.S. mobile number and bank account, and enter the verification code you receive. 
  • To send money, add a trusted recipient’s email or mobile number, enter the amount and optional note, review, then tap "Send." Funds are usually available to the recipient within minutes if they are enrolled. 
  • To request money, select “Request,” enter the recipient’s email, mobile number, or Zelle® tag, verify details, and tap “Request.” 
  • To receive money, share your enrolled email or mobile number and ask the sender to use Zelle®. If you’re enrolled, the funds will deposit into your account within minutes. 
  • If someone sent you money and you're not enrolled, click the link in the notification, choose your bank, and follow the instructions to enroll using the email or mobile number where you received the notification.

Is My Information Secure When I use Zelle®?

Keeping your money and information secure is a top priority for NW Plus CU. When you use Zelle® within our mobile app or online banking, your information is protected with the same technology we use to keep your bank account secure.

If a payment situation feels off, trust your gut and investigate before sending anything. 

Can I Send Money to Someone Whose Bank/Credit Union Doesn’t Offer Zelle®?

As of March 31, 2025, all users must be enrolled through one of the more than 2,300 banks and credit unions that offer Zelle® in order to send and receive money.

You can find a full list of participating banks and credit unions live with Zelle® at Zelle.com. If their bank or credit union is not listed, we recommend you use another payment method at this time.

Can I Use Zelle® Internationally?

In order to use Zelle®, the sender and recipient’s bank or credit union accounts must be based in the U.S.

Are There Any Limits for Sending and Receiving Money With Zelle®?

Your sending limits and frequency are set by each financial institution. To find out NW Plus CU send limits, call our customer service at 425 297 1000.

There are no limits on the amount you can receive with Zelle®. However, senders may have their own sending limits set by their bank.

Does Zelle® Offer Purchase Protection?

Neither NW Plus CU nor Zelle® offers purchase protection for payments made with Zelle®, if you do not receive the item you paid for, or the item is not as described or as you expected.

Only send money to people and small businesses you trust and always ensure you’ve used the correct email address or U.S. mobile number when sending money.

To send or receive money with Zelle®, both parties must have an eligible checking or savings account. Transactions between enrolled users typically occur in minutes.
