Your Credit, Your Power: Why Monitoring It Matters

At NW Plus Credit Union, We See You—planning for the future, managing your finances, and working toward major life milestones. Whether you're dreaming of a new car, saving for college, or thinking about homeownership, one thing plays a key role in your financial journey: your credit.

That’s why we offer Credit Sense, a free credit monitoring tool available to all NW Plus members through online banking and our mobile app.

What Is Credit Sense?

Credit Sense gives you access to your latest credit score and full credit report—pulled securely from TransUnion, one of the three major credit bureaus. You'll see:

  • A list of your open loans, credit accounts, and inquiries
  • Detailed information on your payment history and credit usage
  • Any public records affecting your score
  • Personalized tips on how to improve or maintain your credit health
  • Best of all, checking Credit Sense is a soft inquiry, so it won’t impact your score.

Why Is Monitoring Your Credit Important?

Your credit report tells your financial story—and lenders, landlords, and even some employers are paying attention. Here’s why staying on top of it matters:

  • Prevent Identity Theft: Spot suspicious activity early before it becomes a bigger problem.
  • Stay Prepared: Whether you're planning a big purchase or unexpected expense, knowing your credit health keeps you in control.
  • Get the Best Rates: A strong credit score can help you qualify for better loan terms and lower interest rates—saving you money in the long run.

How to Get Started

Accessing Credit Sense is easy and completely free. Just log into your NW Plus online banking or mobile app, and enroll—no credit card or payment info required. Your score updates every month, helping you keep tabs on your financial health with confidence.

We See You—and we're here to help you grow.
Log in today and activate Credit Sense to take the first step in owning your credit story.

Never share your account number, passwords, answers to security questions, or other account information. We will never ask you for this type of information when we call or email you. If someone claiming to be a NW Plus CU representative asks for sensitive account information over the phone or in an email, end the conversation immediately, and call us at 425.297.1000 or come to one of our branches to report the incident.
